The I.R.C.C.S. Neuromed tackles neurological diseases, with particular attention to degenerative diseases, thanks to a multidisciplinary and dynamic approach, and his research interests span a variety of fields in this matter. From the study of the molecular basis to descriptive epidemiology; from the assessment of new neurosurgical techniques to the problems of neurological rehabilitation through the study of biological and physiological mechanisms of recovery of neurological damage; from research on genetic factors in the study of cerebral stroke to hypertension determinism until the use of neuroimaging technologies.
In close collaboration with the clinical setting, and marrying the full concept of translational medicine, researchers aim to facilitate the rapid implementation of the most recent advanced therapeutic techniques. In Neuromed the patient’s bed and the lab bench are connected by a two-way traffic road.
